Pilates Retreat
Emily has been teaching Pilates for over 15 years, and has a lifelong love of dance and movement,
having starting dancing at the age of 3. Following a degree in Social Anthropology and several
years working in arts management, Emily discovered a passion for teaching whilst volunteering
teaching English on a community project in Mexico. After a year and a half of teaching, learning
Spanish and finally having the time to rediscover how beneficial regular Pilates and yoga practice
was to both her physical and mental well-being, Emily made the decision to return to England and
retrain in order to combine this new-found desire to teach with both her passion for movement and
her belief that a strong and healthy body promotes a strong and healthy mind.
Emily is accredited with the Pilates Foundation to teach all aspects of Pilates matwork, having
completed a comprehensive matwork teacher training course at the Scott Studio under the
supervision of master teacher Suzanne Scott. Emily is trained in pre and postnatal Pilates, and has
a BTEC Professional Diploma (Level 5) in Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy which
informs her teaching on many levels, but in particular when working with injuries and health
conditions.
Emily is also qualified as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher which has deepened her belief in the connection
between the mind, body and breath, and the positive effects that yoga, and movement in general,
can have on one’s life. The energy, balance and strength you create on your mat is carried over
into your daily life - you become more centred, present both physically and mentally.
Most recently, Emily studied structural, functional and experiential anatomy with Gary Carter on his
year-long 'Anatomy & Movement' course. This explores the anatomy of movement in relation to
practice, movement analysis, 3-D work, and experiential anatomy, allowing teachers to 'see' their
students more clearly.
Emily has been running Pilates retreats in amazing places since 2014 and loves nothing more than
bringing together a group of like-minded people to share Pilates, delicious food (and wine!), good
conversation and adventures in inspiring places.
“Travel has always been a huge part of my life and to be able to share my love for different
countries and cultures whilst teaching Pilates really is a dream come true”.
The retreats are open to all, from complete beginners to fellow teachers. Classes are always
suitable for all levels, and range from gentle and relaxing, to more flowing, strength and stamina-
building practices to challenge those who already regularly attend Pilates classes. Class levels will
be determined and moulded to fit participating students’ needs to that everyone attending will
deepen their understanding of Pilates and strengthen their own practice.

Wine Tasting - Treslus Degustation
Sophie Roumanet is an exciting new face on the Ardèche wine scene and a name to watch. Born and raised in Ardèche, Sophie, who worked in wine tourism for a some years, inherited a little plot of vines that started the dream : to make her own natural wine.
After going back to school, two seasons working the vines in a local winery, and a lot of paperwork, she produced her first vintage in 2023 with organic grapes bought from winegrowers friends, in an other friends’ cellar. At the start of 2024 she finally took over the family vines, found a cellar of her own and continued her adventure. Her goal is to produce fresh, joyful and accessible wines!
We, here at Margot, are HUGE fans of her wines, and love the Neo- Vigneronne’s passion for winemaking, We urge you to come and meet Sophie and taste for yourself!
